Gnosis and Words

Words are inadequate and they can never convey the truth, only approximations of truth. Words are symbols after all. But, they can also deceive and render the seeker impotent. We tend to prefer our version of the truth mistaking it for the “thing” itself. We get stuck and, yet, congratulate ourselves nonetheless on our enlightenment. Gnosis can never be transmitted with words. Gnosis is beyond words. It is to be found in the silence that exists between breaths where the ego cannot penetrate.
